Jude R. Bettridge (they/them) is a jack-of-all-trades, transmasculine artist based in Chicago who specializes in zinemaking, fiber arts, comics and printmaking. Their work is a conglomeration of themes that often touch on mental health, sexuality, identity and soft horror. They are also interested in the exploration of bodies as extensions of identity. They use their own body in comics as a symbol of their progress towards self-acceptance, compassion, and as a measure of progress in their transition. When they aren’t giving workshops on comics, zines, and RISO printing at Quimby’s Bookstore or around the greater Chicagolandarea, they can be found drawing comics about the chaotic mundanity of adult life while at home with their two silly cats, Gravy Boat & Coffee Bean.
Reach out & say hello! Commissions are always welcome.
